PUTUSSIBAU
Putussibau is a beautiful place. Kapuas Hulu,
West Kalimantan (Kalbar) is located in the upper Kapuas River, the longest
river in Indonesia. The town is inhabited by approximately 23,000 inhabitants.
It is the largest city in Kapuas Hulu, but being the smallest town in West
Kalimantan. The city became the entrance to the two major eco-tourism
destination in the heart of Borneo. Then, It has a special attraction for
tourists from domestic and international tourists. It’s attraction for tourists
are:
First, known as conservation district by the
presence Taman Nasional Danau Sentarum as the main source of water catchment
area of 130,000 hectares Kapuas River and Taman
Nasional Betung Kerihun covering an area of 800,000 hectares.
The second, Rumah Betang Suku Dayak has its
own uniqueness. Straight elongated shape over a hundred meters, colonnaded
stage elevations above one meter and ironwood shingle roofs. Inside the house
there are dozens of booths betang and one cubicle inhabited by a single family.
Finally, It can conclude that Putussibau is a
beautiful place because this city has its own uniqueness and beauty that is
emitted from betang uniqueness, historical relics, and national parks in it.
